K & W Cafeteria! This is the real deal! Cafeteria style buffet line where there are all the home cooked dishes you could want...fried chicken is awesome and so are the turnip greens, apple pie, cornbread...I pretty much like it all. Just make sure not to go on Sundays for lunch - you're in the Bible belt now and the after church crowd is pretty overwhelming. The long line is a testament to how gooood the food is. There is a K/W in Cameron Village - do yourself a favor.

OKKKAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!! Calm down. I understand your excitement BUT as good as K&W is IT IS NOT AS GOOD AS HOME COOKED SOUTHERN FOOD! It will do in a pinch but nothing beats the home cooked stuff. It is so funny when someone from up north says that about a restaurant that serves so-called authentic southern food. And by the way southern food is not limited to fried chicken and cornbread. Although I love those dishes you cannot forget Tex-Mex, Cajun cooking, or Bar-B-Q. And nobody does seafood like the south.
